Located in the Tidwell Bible Building, the department houses the Robert Reid World History Center (a research center and a seminar room), the E. Bruce Thompson History Student Lounge, and a computer lab/lounge for graduate students. In addition to the departmental facilities, special academic units such as

• The Institute for Oral History
• The Texas Collection
• J. M. Dawson Institute for Church-State Studies,

all located in the Carroll Library building across the street from Tidwell, provide excellent library and archival holdings for graduate research projects. The Baylor University Library System offers a wealth of primary and secondary source materials useful to graduate historians, including the Baylor University Collections of Political Materials, and its Interlibrary Services ensures that no source is irretrievable.
