Bio

Sarah Gilbreath Ford works in American literature, specifically literature of the American South and early American literature. She is the author of Tracing Southern Storytelling in Black and White (published by the University of Alabama, 2014) as well as articles on southern and early American writers in journals such as Studies in the Novel, Mississippi Quarterly, Early American Literature, and Southern Quarterly. She currently serves as the English department’s director of undergraduate studies and is the President of the Eudora Welty Society.
