Hours and Fees
8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. and 1:00P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday by appointment only.
The BUCC is closed during academic breaks.
In case of a CRISIS, call or come by the counseling center during our regular office hours. A psychologist or counselor is on call after regular office hours and during weekends. To access the crisis psychologist or counselor call the main Counseling Center phone number 254-710-2467 and a recording will provide directions for contacting us. The Counseling Center is closed during academic breaks, and students are advised to contact mental health resources in their hometowns. In Waco, students may call the DePaul Center at 254-776-5970 in the event of a psychological crisis.
FEE SCHEDULE
Triage:
An assessment to determine what type of service the students needs. No Charge to any currently enrolled Baylor student.
Groups & Clinics:
Free to Baylor Students after triage.
Counseling Services:
Individual Psychotherapy (initial 7 sessions): No charge
Individual Psychotherapy (all additional sessions): $10 each
Psychiatric Services:
Psychiatric services are not currently available through the Baylor Counseling Center. We hope to make this service available at some point in the future. If you have questions about the availability of psychiatric service as the Baylor Counseling Center or would like to speak to our Case Manager regarding psychiatric referrals to the community, please contact us at 254-710-2467.
Dietitian Services:
First 3 visits: No Charge
All additional visits: $20.00 each
Record Request Fees:
Copy of Counseling records (picked up or mailed): $10.00
Copy of Counseling records (faxed): $15.00
Students have access to the Baylor University Counseling Center if the student service fee has been paid. Sessions are limited to 12 sessions per year during an individual's enrollment at Baylor University. Sessions are counted each time a student receives services at BUCC (e.g., individual, couple). Consultations, group therapy, psychiatric services and dietitian services are not included in the total number of sessions counted. Law students and seminary students must pay the optional student services fee to use all of the BUCC services except psychiatric services. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Payment of charges incurred will be billed to the student's Baylor account.
