What it's all about

Communications Sciences and Disorders examines the speech, language and hearing process and its related disorders. In this field, we seek to diagnose and treat a variety of disorders, improving communication while also improving quality of life.

Our profession is dedicated to improving people's abilities to express themselves. The department's mission is to integrate excellent academic with clinical training to promote the highest standards of practice and conduct for speech-language pathologists.

The department's clinic provides more than 1,000 hours of clinical help to the Waco community. The department's goal is to have a significant impact on the global community, the local community and the individual lives of children, adults and families.

• Anatomy and Physiology
• Language Therapy
• Speech Science

Graduates of this major go on to:

• attend graduate schools
• open private practices or work with clinics or hospitals
