Jared Gould is a longtime educator and coach who has held a wide variety of fitness and wellness-related roles. Highlights of his experiences include serving as a group fitness instructor for several formats, including new member on-ramp, mobility, nutrition, strength and conditioning, indoor rowing, running, Olympic lifting, and CrossFit. Jared also has a passion to mentor trainers and coaches. He consults with gym owners on operational processes, programs, and special events. He has developed unique branding and marketing for fitness classes, seminars, and courses. Jared has taught continuing education courses for nutrition, as well as coordinated community fitness events. He has also participated in and facilitated committees focused on student health and wellness.

Jared has a master’s degree in communication and bachelor's degrees in communication and history from Stephen F. Austin State University. Jared’s career spans the fields of higher education, K-12 public schools, and faith-based nonprofit organizations. He has worked with formerly incarcerated youth, served as outdoor educator, and developed an academic support program for at-risk collegiate athletes. After moving from Colorado Springs to Waco in 2009, he served as a member of the Rapoport Academy Public Schools team as a teacher, coach, and campus and district administrator. He also previously worked with Baylor University’s Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty (2014 to 2021) and holds a myriad of fitness certifications including a CrossFit level-2 trainer, running and rowing instructor, and nutrition coach.

Jared’s wife, Kelly Gould, is the Assistant Director of Advising in Baylor’s Online MBA Program. Jared and Kelly enjoy fitness activities and competing in triathlons. They have two children, Julie (4) and Jackson (9 months), as well as two rescued pups, Lady (German shepherd) and Ace (golden retriever). Jared’s hobbies include road trips for Texas BBQ, reading, community service, and outdoor adventures.
