Student Achievement Awards

Many Baylor undergraduates compete each year for national and international scholarships such as the Goldwater, Truman, Boren, Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, Rotary, and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. Many of these applications take three-to-six months to complete, and all of them require a significant investment of time and effort. Nevertheless, students who compete for these awards learn many skills and have valuable opportunities that are afforded them as part of the process of applying. Baylor has had 26 Fulbright Scholars, two Marshall Scholars, four Truman Scholars, and a number of Goldwater, Rotary, and NSF Fellows since 2000.

Students who are interested in learning more about the opportunities that are available should visit the National and International Scholarships website. Students also should contact Prof. Elizabeth Vardaman, Associate Dean in the College of Arts & Sciences. Dean Vardaman may be reached by email at or by phone at (254) 710-4176.
