Director or Minister of Music at Lake Shore Baptist Church, Waco, TX.

Lake Shore Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Director or Minister of Music. The position is salaried (not paid on an hourly basis), but will usually require 8-10 hours/week, primarily on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Position responsibilities are as follows:

Plan, organize and implement a church music program in conjunction with the Worship Committee and pastors. Regular weekly consultation with the pastors is essential.
Plan and administer the music budget in conjunction with the Worship and Finance Committees.
Direct the adult choir.
Supervise the organist/pianist, scheduling substitutes when necessary. Consult with the Personnel and Worship Committees when the position is vacant.
Enlist vocal and instrumental soloists and ensembles to enhance Sunday and special services.
Be responsible for the purchase, inventory, care, repair and storage of all music, music literature, and related equipment and instruments.
Carry out any special tasks that may arise relative to the music or worship life of the church or other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Arrange for a substitute director when it is necessary to be absent.
