Lake Nixon Summer Day Camp is a ministry of Second Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. We are seeking an individual to provide a pastoral presence, primarily to our 40+ summer staff who support a large summer day camp.

The camp itself hosts approx 240 campers a day for 10 weeks in the summer. It is a "front porch" community ministry of the church. Less than 5% of campers come from 2nd Baptist and the camp program emphasizes outdoor exploration, fun, character formation and relationship building.

This year we will be able to provide housing to a small number of summer staff and so the resident chaplain would be present with them during the summer. The Executive Director (Andy Black -- Truett grad and 2BC staff member) also lives on site and will be present.
