The Lead Pastor will provide spiritual oversight & leadership direction for its Elders & Deacons/Deaconesses. He will preach, equip, disciple, evangelize & provide necessary counsel for those in need. He must champion the church vision & mission. He will direct the congregation & provide oversight for ministry teams. He will be knowledgeable of the ByLaws & use them as a guide for leading the church. He must be well grounded in scriptures, demonstrate godly character & provide a good role model for those inside the church as well as outside the church. He must have the spiritual maturity & skills to equip & develop leaders so that the ministry can grow & mature.

Duty: Pastor/Teacher
Be the primary preacher/teacher for worship services. Work with staff in preparing & executing worship services. Lead congregation in observing church ordinances according to church guidelines. Provide leadership & oversight with the development & maintenance of appropriate curriculum & other educational materials. Provide leadership & oversight of the discipleship program.

Duty: Shepherding.
Develop programs/ministries to strengthen fellowship in the congregation. Oversee visitation of those who are ill &/or hospitalized.
Oversee effective communication with & assimilation of those who are first time guests. Oversee execution of any premarital counseling, weddings or funerals as needed. Provide short term counseling as needed. Oversee any necessary response in crisis situations. Oversee any necessary pastoral care.

Duty: Administration
Provide strategic planning & staff coordination for the execution of the church's mission/vision. Provide spiritual leadership for staff, Elders & Deacons. Act as ex-officio member of all ministry teams & committees. Work with Church Council to ensure that the business of the church remains fiscally sound & that volunteers are adequately supported. Work with Church Council on staff additions & training, as well as salary reviews & recommendations.
