Part-time, 10 hours per week

Meadowbrook Baptist Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Ministry Intern. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in youth ministry while making a positive impact on the lives of young people. The Youth Ministry Intern will work closely with the Youth Pastor to support and enhance our youth programs.

Responsibilities:

Attend and Assist in Youth Activities:
• Participate in Sunday Youth Small Groups and Wednesday Night Youth meetings.
• Be actively involved in special events such as Disciple Now, Youth Camp in the Summer, and other youth-related activities.

School Outreach:
• Accompany the Youth Pastor to weekly school lunches on campus to connect with students in their environment.

Church Office Presence:
• Spend one day each week at the church office, collaborating with the Youth Pastor and other staff members. This will typically be a half day (4 hours) and the day of the week can be flexible to fit the schedule on the intern.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to youth ministry, including organizing materials, preparing for events, and updating communication channels.

Discipleship and Mentoring:
• Build relationships with youth members, providing support and encouragement in their faith journey.
• Assist in leading small group discussions and activities aimed at spiritual growth.

Event Planning and Execution:
• Contribute to the planning and execution of various youth events, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for participants.

Teaching in Large Group Settings:
• Develop and present engaging lessons and messages during large group gatherings when given the opportunity.
• Collaborate with the Youth Pastor to create relevant and impactful content for youth.
