Baylor Student Admissions Resources
Baylor University students interested in a ministry career do not need to look far to discover a premier seminary committed to rigorous academic instruction and intentional spiritual formation.
One of the 12 schools and colleges of Baylor University, Truett Seminary welcomes graduates of Baylor and offers a number of opportunities and resources for Baylor students:
Scholarships
Truett Seminary offers two full tuition scholarships specifically for Baylor University graduates. The Dean's Scholarship is awarded to a Baylor graduate of any major and the Honors College Excellence Scholarship is awarded to a graduate of the Baylor Honors College.
Advanced Standing
Students who have taken select Baylor undergraduate courses may apply for Truett Seminary’s advanced standing program. Through the program, students may be eligible to receive up to 18 hours of course credit at the Seminary (which can reduce a student's program by nearly two semesters), substitute electives for certain courses, or have specific course requirements waived.
Baylor Preview Event
Truett Seminary offers a Preview event specifically designed for Baylor undergraduates interested in attending seminary. This event is typically an evening dinner with faculty, staff, and current Truett students with brief presentations and an opportunity to ask questions.
