Meg Hoefer

Meagan (Meg) Hoefer serves as the Business Officer for Truett Seminary. In this role she supports the dean and functions as a senior advisor on all financial, business, and administrative matters while also representing the dean on such matters to the campus and the University as a liaison. Within her role she is responsible for the effective conduct of all business affairs of Truett Seminary and effectively plans and allocates resources to achieve the education, research, and business objectives. Her role at Truett Seminary as the Business Officer is in addition to also serving as the Business Officer for Baylor's School of Education.

After working for more than 12 years in public tax accounting, Ms. Hoefer joined the Baylor community in 2017. At Baylor she has managed operating financial materials, including faculty, staff, and research personnel, budget preparation and analysis, strategic planning, financial statement analysis and capital allocations. In addition to her wide range of accounting and finance knowledge, she also has achieved a variety of research grant project accounting, serving in Baylor’s Institute for the Studies of Religion for a couple of years as the Finance Manager. Ms. Hoefer has also assisted in various financial and business projects/tasks under the direction of the Provost’s Office and within other units on campus.

Ms. Hoefer received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University and was selected as Baylor Alumni by Choice in 2018. In addition to her work responsibilities, she serves Baylor as a faculty advisor for Pi Beta Phi sorority, is an instructor for the Continuing Education Department, and also serves as a Leadership presenter for the Baylor Human Resources Department.
