Dr. Matt Homeyer joined the staff of George W. Truett Seminary in August 2015 and serves as the Assistant Dean for External Affairs. In this role, Dr. Homeyer directs the W. Winfred Moore Center For Ministry Effectiveness, Office of Ministry Connections, and the Truett Church Network.

Previously, Matt served for eight years as the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Marble Falls, TX and before that at FBC Hubbard, TX. He has also served interim roles with FBC Waco, TX and FBC Longview, TX.

Matt earned a BA from Baylor University (’03), MDiv from Truett (’07) and Doctor of Ministry from Truett (’16). Matt grew up in South Texas where his family attended FBC Kenedy, TX. He is married to Kelley (Baylor ’04) and they have two children, Brooks and Addison.
