Myles Werntz (MDiv ’03) has served at Hardin-Simmons University as the T.B. Maston Professor of Christian Ethics and Practical Theology since January 2016.

Emily McGowin’s (MDiv ’07) first book, Quivering Families: The Quiverfull Movement and Evangelical Theology of the Family, was published by Fortress Press in May 2018.

Rev. Dr. Leah Grundset Davis (MDiv ’07) began as pastor at Ravensworth Baptist Church on September 1, 2017 alongside the long-time pastor in a new model of shared pastoral ministry. She completed her doctor of ministry degree at Candler School of Theology in May 2017, focusing on Biblical Interpretation and Proclamation.

Brittany (MDiv ’16) and Chase (MDiv ’15) Caldwell are now co-pastoring a church in North Carolina.

Claire Hein Blanton (MDiv ’12) was awarded an Humanities Texas Grant for the lecture, "Luther, Bonhoeffer, and the Legacy of Anti-Semitism in Germany" in conjunction with the Holocaust Museum Houston.

Jeff Elkins (MDiv ’05) published three novels in the past year, Mencken and the Monsters, The Twelve Commandments, and Mencken and the Lost Boys.

David Cozart (MDiv ’04) celebrated 10 years as executive pastor at Meadowbrook Baptist in Waco.

R. Patrick Moore (MDiv ’99) was recently selected to be the next state chaplain of the Missouri National Guard.

Scott Davis (MDiv ’16) began serving as minister of music and administration at First Baptist Church, San Marcos, in May 2017 after having served nearly five years at First Baptist Church, Valley Mills.

Timothy Hall (MDiv ’00) is now pursuing his doctor of ministry degree at Asbury Theological Seminary.
