George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University exists to equip men and women for gospel ministry in and alongside Christ’s Church. This is our mission. Learn about our Kingdom Builders Olayinka Obasanya, Joseph C. Parker, Jr., Roger E. Olson, and Jamie McCallum.
Before coming to work at Truett, I was in Houston, running a small organization for people suffering from memory loss, most commonly Alzheimer’s, and training congregation-based volunteers on how to provide free caregiving services.
This past September, pastors, scholars and seminary students gathered together in the Paul W. Powell Chapel of Truett Seminary for two full days of exploration into the “significance of preaching from the prophets to the present and beyond.”
We have two key fundraising priorities at present. The first is the Paul W. Powell Chair in Preaching. Our second priority is endowed scholarships. Our goal is to have an endowed scholarship fund— currently 50 thousand dollars—for every Truett student.
