The Texas Oral History Association (TOHA), founded in 1983, promotes the use and good practices of oral history research through a variety of programs and publications, including the journal Sound Historian. Comprised of individuals representing diverse interests and disciplines, the professional organization will host its seventh annual conference on April 6-7th, 2018, on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. This is also the 35th year of the organization!
Join us for presentations from scholars, educators, students, history enthusiasts, folklorists, family historians, and others who are showcasing their work with oral history. This year will feature a pre-conference workshop from BUIOH faculty members and TOHA board members Adrienne Cain and Steven Sielaff, a Friday evening “Meet ‘n Greet” mixer, as well as a special luncheon presentation by UNT Oral History Program Director and current OHA president, Dr. Todd Moye. A schedule of events and sessions can be viewed here.
Registration for the conference is free with the exception of the pre-conference workshop ($25) and the conference luncheon ($10). Associated fees are payable by cash or check at the conference registration table. We ask that everyone register by March 31, 2018, so we may have name badges available and an accurate head count for food. To register for the conference, click here or visit www.baylor.edu/toha/registration.

We look forward to seeing you in College Station!
