Josh Stephens, Investigator

Josh joined the Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX Office as an Investigator in January 2022. His primary role is to conduct impartial investigations into allegations of violations of Baylor’s Sexual and Interpersonal Misconduct and Civil Rights policies. These violations include allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, and discrimination.

Prior to joining Baylor, Josh was a Title IX Consultant for Tarrant County College District and McLennan Community College. In these roles, he assisted with investigations, finding determinations, and advising parties for cases involving Title IX. He also assisted with institutional policy development and trainings. Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Dallas and a Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law.

As an Investigator, Josh receives annual training on issue related to sexual and gender-based harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. He has also been trained to conduct neutral and equitable investigations using trauma-informed techniques.
