Melissa Morie, Investigator
In April 2019, Melissa joined the Title IX Office as a Title IX Investigator. Her primary role is to manage the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the University's Title IX compliance obligations. Melissa conducts neutral investigations regarding complaints alleging sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and relationship violence as well as collaborates with the Title IX Coordinator to assess and ensure the safety of the impacted student and/or community.
Prior to joining the Title IX Office, Melissa worked at Baylor as a Residence Hall Director for over eight years. In that role, Melissa managed an on-campus housing facility, supervised student leaders, provided emergency response, served in an on-call rotation, and mentored students in matters of academics, student involvement, and interpersonal communication. While serving as a Residence Hall Director, Melissa also served as a Title IX Hearing Panelist for the University for two years before joining the Title IX Office as an investigator. Melissa has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Marketing from Oklahoma State University, a Master's of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Mississippi, and a Master's of Business Administration from Baylor University.
