Schools are eligible to receive federal reimbursement for breakfasts served to children through the School Breakfast Program but, because of a lack of awareness or limited resources, many students that need breakfast don’t eat it at school. This means that schools are not maximizing their resources and many students aren’t getting the nutrition they need to thrive at school. THI has the knowledge and experience to help your school successfully implement the school breakfast program in a way that works best for you. There are various strategies and methods that can expand school breakfast and help the program reach more students.
Implementing the School Breakfast Program will help you ensure that children start the day alert and engaged and will benefit your entire school community. Contact one of our Child Hunger Outreach Specialists to see how we can help your school.
