testifying before a congressional committee

PUBLIC POLICY

To solve hunger the problem must be addressed comprehensively, with solutions at the local level but also for state and federal systems. We connect local, state, and federal organizations and systems, ensuring that local voices are included in state and federal policy and that state and federal programs are implemented effectively in local communities. We also provide support and education to elected officials, helping them make informed decisions about policies affecting hunger and poverty.

Jeremy Everett at the Capitol Kathy Krey testifying at the White House students in front of the White House

Jeremy Everett, our founder and senior director, was a congressional appointee to the National Commission on Hunger. We've been invited to testify before House subcommittee to share our expertise on hunger and poverty. Every year we take a group of Baylor students to Washington, D.C. to learn more about the policy and systemic issues related to hunger and poverty.
