Ruben Sanchez serves as the Regional Director for Baylor University's Texas Hunger Initiative (THI) El Paso office. He has served the El Paso Community in the social service field for the last 16 years in the areas of public housing, legal guardianship, and hunger relief. Recently, Ruben played a vital role in the region raising awareness to the issue of food insecurity in Far West Texas as the Executive Director of the local food bank.
Ruben is a life-long resident of El Paso, a graduate of Park University with a degree in Social Psychology and a part-time Associate Pastor of Outreach Ministry at his home church. He is the proud father of his only daughter, Sarah, and husband to his wife of 22 years, Crystal.
