The Texas Hunger Initiative uses research to identify promising practices in the fight against hunger and poverty. We conduct basic and applied research on food insecurity-related topics, perform program evaluations, and analyze data to inform our field work. Our research team partners with faculty and students, both at Baylor University and from other institutions, across academic disciplines to conduct research that is both collaborative and actionable.
THI research currently has several focus areas including Hunger Free Coalition evaluation, School Breakfast Program research, and Summer and Afterschool Meals research.learn more
