COVID-19 Organization Resource Support

Community matters, and we know many of you have found your community at Baylor through student organizations.  We encourage you to stay connected with your student organizations and to use the following supports to continue meeting in-person and virtually.

Attendance Tracking
Student organizations are required to use one of two attendance tracking methods to keep an accurate record of attendees at all in-person meetings. Connect offers the following methods:

Connect Instruction Documents are linked for each method so the organization can select the approach they prefer to use to meet this requirement.

Virtual Resources
Your organization might still be working on a hybrid model for meetings and connection. We have gathered some resources to help you navigate these virtual spaces. Please click here for some virtual meeting tips and tools.

Event Planning
President Linda Livingstone recently shared Baylor will begin the spring semester in-person with face-to-face instruction and student activities.  As you plan your student organization events for the beginning of the spring semester, please consider the following to help mitigate the potential spread of COVID within our campus community:

  • Masking for all indoor events
  • Moving all or part of events outside
  • Hosting events in a larger space to allow for some distancing
  • Hosting events virtually or moving later in the semester
  • Reducing density and managing traffic
  • Encouraging and providing participants space to spread out
  • Aiming for individually packaged/plated food, or if that is not possible for food served by someone wearing gloves and using serving utensils (i.e., no buffet or self-serve)
