Connecting Through Community

"Bed Races is a great chance for students to hang out with their friends and become more involved in Baylor's great campus life"

Bed Races Chairman, Steven Cutbirth.

Baylor welcomes all types of students. Nun, cowboys, ninjas, and Power Rangers have all found a home at Baylor-at least at Bed Races. Hosted by Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, this annual program pairs student teams with decked-out hospital beds on oversized wheels, perfect for racing down Fountain Mall through the middle of campus.

With more than 14,000 students and nearly 300 student organizations, Baylor works to help each student plus into university life. The Department of Student Activities believes a sense of belonging is crucial to the college experience. No matter how varied student' interests, they can always find a community of their own. Whether it's as a player on the Baylor Kayak Polo team, editor of The Phoenix literary magazine, top scorer for Dance Dance Revolution, or a fast-as-lighting Bed Race team, Baylor students forge bonds and create memories through Student Activities that last well beyond graduation.
