Student Regent Application

For the last seven years, we have been privileged to have at least one student representative on the Baylor University Board of Regents. This year we have two student regents, one voting and one non-voting. The applications for the 2021-2022 Student Regent position are now posted.  This is a tremendous opportunity for a student to serve our university.

Qualified candidates must have exhibited the ability to understand complex issues and communicate student perspectives to the highest level of leadership at Baylor University. The individual selected will be a non-voting Regent in their first term, but may be reselected to a second term, as a voting Regent.

The application packet and recommendation form are both located, above. In order to be considered for the position, applicants must submit two recommendations, at least one of which is from a professor.


Baylor University Student Regent Selection Timeline

January 25: Student Regent application packet due by 5:00 p.m. to Sarah Schmuck (Sarah_Schmuck@baylor.edu)

February 1-4: Candidates interview with Selection Committee

February 8-11: Semi-finalists interview with a select group of Regents who will identify the finalist(s)
