The Student Body President is the chief executive officer of Student Government and the official spokesman of the Baylor student body to all Baylor constituencies, the public and media, and other colleges and universities. This position also advises Class Officers and the rest of the executive branch.
Sloane Simpson is a Senior Entrepreneurship and Marketing major from San Antonio, Texas. Since her time at Baylor she has been drawn towards opportunities to serve and lead Baylor’s community of students. She has been committed to serving students through Student Government all four years of college and previously served as the 2018-2019 Student Body External Vice President. As EVP, Sloane actively worked towards creatively and effectively building a lasting relationship between Baylor students and the greater Waco community.
Her experience serving Baylor, combined with her love for its community, led her to develop a strong vision for the University: For Baylor to continue to serve as a thriving university deeply rooted in both its students and city. Her platform includes implementing diversity and inclusion seminars for registered organizations and campus leaders, combating food insecurity through a meal plan donation program, and further investing in the growth of Waco organizations and Baylor’s Alumni Network. As Student Body President, she plans to advocate on behalf of all members of the Baylor family for resources and programs to further grow our thriving university. Sloane has an open-door policy and gladly welcomes any students to come by her office in the basement of the SUB to discuss their ideas to “build a better Baylor”.
