For the last five years, we have been privileged to have at least one non-voting student representative on the Baylor University Board of Regents. This year we have two student regents, one junior and one senior. In future years the senior student regents will be a voting regent. The applications for the 2018-2019 Student Regent position are now posted. This is a tremendous opportunity for a student to serve our university.
Qualified candidates must have exhibited the ability to understand complex issues and communicate student perspectives to the highest level of leadership at Baylor University. The individual selected will be a non-voting Regent and participate in non-executive session portions of Board meetings.
The application packet and recommendation form are both located on the website. In order to be considered for the position, applicants must submit two recommendations at least one of which is from a professor.
