I want you to know that we continue to make very good progress on the development of our strategic plan. A copy of our draft plan can now be found on our strategic planning website, as can a short video I have recorded to introduce the draft plan. Please take a few moments to review this video, because it will provide important context as you prepare to review and comment on the draft plan.
As you will see, the aspirations articulated within the draft strategic plan reflect the essential contributions that the entire Baylor community has made, Pro ecclesia, Pro texana, for the last 167 years. We all will continue to fill our distinctive roles as we enrich Baylor's legacy in response to our new plan.
At this stage in our strategic planning process, we invite your active participation in the continued development of our plan. Specifically, our strategic planning website includes a series of questions to which we hope you will respond after you have reviewed the draft plan. If you convened or were part of a group that previously provided input to our planning process, and you would like to reconvene your group to discuss the draft plan, we encourage you to do so. In this case, please send a summary of your discussion and suggestions to email@example.com. Finally, I hope to see many of you early next semester when we will hold a series of on-campus meetings to consider the draft plan publicly and more fully. Comments and suggestions on the draft plan will be accepted through March of next semester.
My thanks to those of you who have already participated so enthusiastically in our strategic planning process. I'm also grateful to the members of the Strategic Themes Committee for the important contribution they have made to the development of our draft strategic plan and, specifically, to Professor Mitch Neubert for his skillful leadership of the committee and his oversight of the Strategic Input Report. A wide range of very good input is reflected in the quality of the draft plan we are now delighted to share with you. We look forward to your continued involvement in this important effort.Warm regards,
Elizabeth Davis Executive Vice President & Provost
