When I visited Baylor everyone I met was very friendly. Many students took time from what they were doing to talk to me and really made me feel welcomed. The professors were the same way. Everyone made me feel like I could achieve the goal of getting a PhD and that I would have an amazing support system while doing it!
I don’t know if I had a favorite class, but overall I liked how in many classes the students were required to present problems or projects to the class. I think that skill has been most beneficial to my current work. It is very important for me to be able to communicate my findings to the people I collaborate with on a daily basis. My current work also involves me speaking to groups of people, so I am grateful to have had a lot of practice in that area.
