Service Opportunities

Operation WarmthOperation Warmth

Service to others is a key component of the Staff Council's role at the university.

We strive to give everyone at Baylor opportunities to serve throughout the year and to demonstrate love through different acts of service.

Annual service projects: Staff Council hosts at least two service project for all Baylor University staff to participate in. This year, we will serve along side Waco Street Ministries Operation Warmth by collecting backpacks, blankets (recommend 5ft microfleece), hoodies, coat, beanie or toboggan, gloves, socks, toiletries, and snack foods, through November 9, 2020.  We will then spend 1 day filling the backpacks with items and a note from Baylor Staff Council or an individual.

Drop off locations: Clifton Robinson Tower (Lobby); Sid Richardson, West Wing (Career Center)
On campus office pickup, please contact: Amy _Rylander@baylor.edu or
Deidra_Salmons @baylor.edu

In the spring, we will serve The Store grocery by shopping and filling shelves with food items and toiletries for Baylor students for Baylor's Food Pantry.

Ongoing service opportunities: There are ongoing opportunities to serve the campus, the city of Waco and Central Texas every year. As part of our commitment to serving the greater Waco area, we are pleased to provide information on ways Baylor staff can serve our neighbors. Please check this section frequently for information on organizations that you can get involved with today!
