Dr. Charles Ramsey
Director, Campus Ministries & Church Connections
It is such a joy to return to my alma-mater to serve at the intersection of campus ministries and the church global. A twice graduate of Baylor University (BA, 1997; MA 2000), I have worked in international ministry, at churches, and in the classroom, and it is a delight to be in a role that weaves these together so nicely. Having spent most of my adult life in Asia, I return to Baylor with the words of T.S. Eliot ringing in my ears, “We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.”
In this role, I seek to nurture the spiritual and missional life—the inhaling and exhaling of contemplation and action—in the 32 and counting campus ministries and the broad range of churches represented in the Baylor community. One of my greatest pleasures is to come alongside students and see them discover and expand their sense of calling and being in the Kingdom of God. I hope our paths will cross and that we can find ways of connection and service. Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting with you.
Grace and Peace,
Dr. Ramsey graduated from Baylor in 1997 as a University Scholar (Phi Beta Kappa) and received his MA from the Department of Religion in 2000, and PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2015. Before he started working as Associate Chaplain, Dr. Ramsey was the director of Baptist Student Ministries at Baylor.
