The Institute for Effective Christian School Leadership

The Institute for Effective Christian School Leadership is an advanced leadership learning community dedicated to improving schooling conditions and outcomes through cohort-style workshops.

The institute will commence each fall and culminate each summer at The Academy for Transformational Leadership. Each yearlong institute will be composed of 25 heads of school meeting as a cohort three times during the year. The institute will partner with experts at Baylor and across the country to facilitate critical insights for Christian school settings.

The Institute for Effective Christian School Leadership will

  • Equip Christian educational leaders in their unique role as Head
  • Empower leaders to strengthen schools through collective leadership
  • Engage with Christian educational experts who understand the critical issues facing contemporary Christian schooling
  • Encourage cohort members to work collaboratively with other effective K-12 Christian school leaders.

A major emphasis throughout this institute will be placed on research and collective leadership within your school. We strongly encourage heads of schools to invite other leaders to attend. For example, during the fall gathering, the head of school is encouraged to bring the board chair at no additional cost. During the spring gathering, the head of school is encouraged to bring one administrator and a teacher-leader at no additional cost. And finally, during the summer gathering, the head of school is encouraged to bring one administrator and two teacher-leaders at no additional cost.

Prospective cost - $900 per school/per visit. Total cost $2700.
