Ryan W. Erck is the Program Director for the Impact Living-Learning Center (LLC), a residential learning community founded by the School of Education in 2015 as a partnership with Campus Living and Learning. Impact LLC is located in South Russell Hall, next to the SOE’s home in Marrs McLean Science Building. The LLC accepts students of all classifications, welcomes students of all majors, and emphasizes the endless possibilities students have to meaningfully impact the world around them.
As the Program Director, Mr. Erck is responsible for the recruitment, marketing, admissions, and programming within the Impact LLC. He also serves as the staff advisor to the Impact Leadership Council (iCo), providing guidance through mentoring, training, and logistical support for student leaders. Mr. Erck works collaboratively with the Residence Hall Director, Faculty-in-Residence, Graduate Apprentice, and Resident Chaplain in the LLC to encourage student engagement and success at Baylor.
Mr. Erck is originally from Stephenville, Texas. He received his BS in Leadership and Development and his MS in Educational Human Resource Development, both from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Studies and Leadership from Baylor University in the SOE’s Department of Educational Leadership. Through his research on living-learning communities and experience working with college students, Mr. Erck aims to shape leaders who are dedicated to impacting the world in positive ways.
