CCE Future Initiatives

The Center for Christian Education’s Future Initiatives:
  • scholarship and research — including an endowed professorship, the sponsorship of white papers on important topics in the field, and data housing for the K-12 Christian schooling sector
  • leader preparation— including training opportunities for school heads, board members, financial managers, other K-12 leaders, and higher education deans and presidents.
  • executive education for Christian school leaders— including academies that will highlight “signature” presenters who are noteworthy in the area. We envision the following as an initial slate of possible academies, based on extensive discussions to date with field leaders (we expect both refinement in these foci and identification of new ones in the year ahead):
    • The Academy for Transformational Leadership in Christian Schools
    • The Academy for Christian School Heads
    • The Academy for Effective School Governance and Board Leadership
    • The Academy for Responsible Financial Practices within Christian Schools
  • appointment of senior fellows— “Senior Fellows” of the Center will be named from among the most outstanding superintendents in Texas and most highly visible heads of faith-based schools in the region.
  • visiting scholars and faculty— the Center for Christian Education will host important exchanges of intellectual talent from prestigious institutions in the U.S. and abroad, via a program of visiting scholars and post-doctoral candidates. These exchanges will provide a steady flow of new, innovative ideas and expertise, establishing Baylor and CCE as a choice destination for promising and distinguished senior scholars and researchers in the field of Christian schooling.
