Donna B. Hulsey is a doctoral student in Educational Psychology. Donna has been active in gifted education for 25 years, first as parent and community advocate, then as co-founder of a school and resource center for gifted students, and now in the Baylor Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development. She is pursuing a PhD in gifted studies through Baylor’s School of Education, Educational Psychology department.

In 2005, Donna co-founded a private school for gifted learners ages 3-18 and a non-profit organization that provided resources for gifted individuals; she headed both organizations as Head of School and Executive Director until 2016. As a volunteer, Donna initiated Odyssey of the Mind and Destination Imagination in several Dallas- and Austin-area schools, coached creative problem-solving teams, and trained coaches. She currently offers student enrichment classes, parent presentations on gifted children, and serves on the board of a Reggio-Emilia preschool.
