PhD Specializations
This multidisciplinary program allows for an individualized program of study in consultation with the student’s academic advisor. Students may choose specialized coursework in the following areas. Students will not only take coursework in their specialized area of study, but students will also be assigned a mentor who teaches and conducts research in the specialized area of study:
- Applied Behavior Analysis
- Gifted & Talented
- Quantitative Methods
- Special Education
In some cases, students may pursue two specializations (e.g., special education and gifted education). Students interested in pursuing two specializations should contact faculty from both programs to confirm the ability to complete more than one specialization.
