The EdS degree is a practitioner degree, designed for individuals wishing for a career in full- time practice of psychology in school settings.
The EdS degree is fully Approved/Nationally Recognized by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) as well as rules of psychology practice set forth by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP). Click here for more information about this degree program.
The Ed.S. in School Psychology is offered on Baylor University's Dallas campus at the Academic Building of the Louise Herrington School of Nursing, located just north of downtown Dallas near Baylor Medical Center. Students enjoy free underground parking and 24/7 access to study spaces for individual or group work. The School Psychology Program – Dallas follows a hybrid model where some courses are taught in person and some through distance learning.
The Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a Specialization in school psychology is designed to train scholars who can advance the theories and practice of psychology as they relate to diagnosis, assessment, intervention, prevention, and program development and evaluation services for children and youth within the context of schools, families, and other related systems.
