Lacy K. Crocker Papadakis is the Assistant Director of the Research and Writing Development Center in the Ed.D. in Learning and Organizational Change program and also is an Affiliate Clinical Professor at Baylor University. Papadakis serves the program and students through research, defense committee service, and defense preparation guidance. She is a Hebrew Bible scholar, and her research focuses on the relationship between ancient Near Eastern literature and archaeological evidence. She is particularly interested in the symbolism of architecture and iconography in text and artifact. Papadakis has published with Routledge, University of Kentucky Press, Hendrickson, and Lexham Press. She also serves as a part-time Lecturer at the University of Miami in the Department of Religious Studies and has taught at The American University of Rome. Papadakis received her Ph.D. in Religion from Baylor University. Papadakis also studied at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem Rothberg International School. Papadakis has business experience at JCP Investment Management, a hedge fund, Cambridge Associates, a financial consulting firm, and Vanguard, a mutual fund company. She uses her business acumen to promote program efficiencies. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and baking with family. According to her husband (also a Baylor Bear), she makes the best chocolate chip Nutella cookies - an American classic with a European twist.
