M.A., Religious Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, 2021

B.A., Religious Studies, Niger Delta University, Nigeria, 2017

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Niger Delta University, Nigeria in 2017. Upon my graduation, I completed my compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Institute for Niger Delta Studies where I worked as a research assistant. Having completed my one-year compulsory service, I received automatic employment from the state government to work as an assistant Lecturer at Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education, Sagbama, Nigeria. While working, I started my Master's degree program at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, to pursue my dream of studying sociology of religion. I am always fascinated by the impacts religion has on the social subsystem such as health, economy, politics, media, education etcetera. After completing and defending my Master’s Thesis on the Social Impacts of Televangelism in the Society, in 2021, I bagged a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies with a concentration in Sociology of Religion.

My research interest encompasses race, development, media, gender, politics, economy, education, health, conflict, and religion.

After earning my doctorate, my goal is to teach at a university and obtain a research position at a research-intensive university, thereby contributing to society positively.
