Graduate Travel Procedures


1.  Before You Go on Your Trip:
  • Reach out to a faculty member for a Letter of Support for presentation.
    • Letter of Support must be sent to: Sandra_Harman@baylor.edu and Karen_Mix@baylor.edu
  • Fill out TAF and send to Karen Mix for approval.
  • After you receive approved TAF via email, go to the Graduate School’s “Travel Awards” webpage and apply for professional meeting financial support.
    • You can find a link to this on the Sociology’s webpage under “Current Students” > “Current Student Information”
  • Review the travel information email sent by Karen Mix
    • This will be sent a couple days before travel
2.  During Your Trip:
  • Must keep all receipts used during your trip
    • ALL RECEIPTS MUST BE ITEMIZED AND SHOW HOW IT WAS PAID
3.  After Your Trip
  • Fill out the Expense Report within three business days (send electronically) and deliver all physical receipts to Karen Mix
