We are very excited to announce that Baylor University’s Garland School of Social Work and Friends for Life have partnered together to offer an online educational opportunity, “A Complete Guide to Guardianship.” There are 11 individual modules that include the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of guardianship
  • Alternatives to guardianship of the person and estate
  • Mechanics of guardianship: Application through appointment
  • Responsibilities and duties of a guardian of the person and guardian of the estate
  • Ethical decision-making to ensure the best possible quality of life for the person with a guardian
  • Special challenges for guardians in today’s world
  • Modifying or terminating a guardianship
  • Lessons learned with case studies

Prices range from $99 for individual courses to $495 for the complete course package. The following discounts are available through August 2020:

   —Buy 2, get 1 free for individual courses
   —When nonprofits buy 2 comprehensive packages, they receive a 3rd for $50
