Why did you choose Baylor's BSW Program?
  • I visited the School of Social work in my junior year of high school and fell in love with the people and the program. I knew that I wanted to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work and the GSSW’s integration of faith and practice was so compelling to me that Baylor is the only school I applied to.
What is a cause you are passionate about?
  • I am passionate about serving communities to ensure that the people within them are properly equipped with the resources and skills to enact the change that they believe in.
How does a Master of Social Work degree fit into your career plan?
  • Earning my BSW from Baylor will allow me to enter the MSW program with advanced standing-meaning that I can begin my practice as a licensed social worker sooner rather than later! Furthermore, the possibilities of careers in the social work profession are seemingly endless. I am confident that my degree will properly equip me to enter into all my future endeavors.
What is a piece of advice you would give a prospective student
  • The best thing that you can do is enter the program with an open mind! Don’t be afraid to try new things and explore the abundance of opportunities that are available at Baylor. You will be surrounded by so many different support systems from your peers to the professors and faculty that the program will truly feel like a family.
Unique characteristics about yourself
  • I am a first-generation college student!
