The Faculty Dismissal Policy provides for dismissal of a faculty member whose employment is otherwise secured, either through tenure or through other contractual obligations pertaining to her or his faculty rank. This policy has been in place for many years, but revision is necessary because it does not currently account for situations and procedures related to new Title IX regulations. This revision has been approved by the Faculty Senate.

In 1997 Baylor implemented separate conflict of interest policies for staff and faculty members of the University. These policies have been revised a few times over the years, and are inherently similar with very few differences. In an effort to standardize the policy requirements for employee conflicts of interest, the once separate policies have been combined into a single policy.
