Institutional Investment in Research

Institutional Investment

Baylor’s ambitious research vision requires significant investment in infrastructure. In recent years, the University has invested in a variety of programs and new hires to support a growing research enterprise, and has seen the fruit of those efforts in sources and balance of funding.

  • $34.1 million in institutional research expenditures in 2022
  • F&A accountability
  • OVPR expansion and administrative support
  • Compliance and Research Administration (CARA), the University’s electronic research administration system

As Baylor faculty pursue awards in greater scope and volume, and as the University adds to their numbers through additional faculty positions, building an infrastructure capable of supporting that growth remains a key priority.
