The Baylor Advanced Research Institute establishes complementary collaborative research partnerships with industries, businesses, entrepreneurs, government entities, and other educational institutions to expand research opportunities for students and faculty. BARI links these research partners directly with the Baylor researchers best qualified to help them develop practical, relevant research strategies, and then to work with them to achieve their specific goals.
Since opening in 2013, the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative has enhanced faculty-industry research partnerships by offering a comprehensive suite of resources that includes
full-featured laboratory facilities tailored to the specific type of research;
technical assistance and executive training through LAUNCH, the BRIC’s in-house accelerator for innovative businesses; and
comprehensive, on-site workforce preparation developed and implemented by Texas State Technical College Waco.
Working together, BARI and BRIC foster economic growth in the greater Waco area by teaming with municipalities, foundations and educational and economic development organizations to facilitate formation of new businesses, expand regional commerce, and attract established, high-technology industries to the area.
