POSITION: Assistant or Associate Professor of Religion in the History of Christianity


QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. required. The Department of Religion seeks an assistant or associate professor of the history of Christianity. The successful candidate will have a vibrant research agenda in both the study of women and gender. Preference will be given to scholars who focus somewhere between the Early Modern Era and the present. Strong preference will be given to scholars who are active in the Baptist tradition.


RESPONSIBILITIES: The faculty member will be expected to publish specialized research in the study of women/gender in the history of Christianity. Teaching at the undergraduate level is expected, and it is expected that the successful candidate will be appointed to the Graduate Faculty either immediately or in the future.


RANK AND SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
