Dr. Susan Moudry

Recent Alumnus

Now an alumna of the Historical Studies concentration, Susan Moudry reflects on the strengths of the Baylor Religion program that exceed the usual baseline of excellent faculty and productive students. During her time at Baylor, Susan found faculty who mentor students and students who share scholarly life with one another, helping form a much deeper support system than many graduate programs can offer. Susan believes that incoming students will therefore find both the academic rigor and the professional development, network-building, and multifaceted material support that enable candidates not simply to pursue a job or degree but to develop in a vocation. Like many Baylor students whose vocation spans church and academy, Susan holds the two together in her present work, continuing to publish and present nationally as she serves in regional conference leadership in the United Methodist Church.
