Daphne (McGee) Wilson, JD, MPH, CHES, graduated from the Community Health program in 2012 (now the Bachelor of Science in Public Health). During time in the program, Daphne began to recognize that legal solutions could help mitigate the impact of disparities in social determinants of health. She feels that the Community Health program gave her a thorough background of community health, and a wonderful framework for addressing health disparities.
After graduating from Baylor, Daphne completed Emory University’s Juris Doctor/Master of Public Health dual degree program in December 2015. Daphne is currently a Legal Fellow at the National Health Law Program office in North Carolina. In September 2017, she will expand the Austin Medical-Legal Partnership through an Equal Justice Works Fellowship, co-sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation.
