Biography

Dr. Palm joined the Baylor faculty in 2020. Prior to coming to Baylor, Dr. Palm was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the psychology department at Stetson University in Florida. Dr. Palm has been acknowledged for her teaching and enjoys introducing students to research using large, publicly available datasets. In her spare time, Dr. Palm enjoys running and spending time with her husband and friends.

Research Interests

Dr. Palm’s primary interests are in the development and epidemiology of adolescent substance use. Her research examines the development of adolescent alcohol use, assessing which factors are likely to exhibit risk for or protection against alcohol use when combined with other contextual factors. Dr. Palm also studies disparities in substance use and related consequences among individuals of minority racial/ethnic groups.
