Baylor graduates make an impact in virtually any field you can think of; this year's Baylor Alumni Award winners are no different, with recipients leading the charge in finance, athletics, non-profit leadership and
civic leadership. Congratulations to this year's honorees: Alumna of the Year: Kellie Fischer, BBA '95, chief financial officer of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers. In addition to overseeing all financial matters for the Rangers, Fischer has also been instrumental in bringing to life the team's new stadium, Globe Life Field; its Urban Youth Academy in West Dallas; and its baseball academy in the Dominican
Republic. Young Alumnus of the Year: Max Muncy, a 2019 all-star for Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers. In addition to his excellence on the field, Muncy and his wife, Kellie (BSFCS '13), give back to the community through organizations such as Kershaw's Challenge, a faith-based foundation begun by teammate Clayton Kershaw that serves at-risk children in Los Angeles, Dallas, Zambia and the Dominican Republic.
Pro Ecclesia Medal of Service: Brenda Hauk, BMED '71, CEO and founder of BrightStone, a non-profit that provides services for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the organization's executive director since its launch in 1999, Hauk has helped countless adults with special needs live lives of fulfillment. Pro Texana Medal of Service: Kyle Deaver, BBA '86, JD '93,
mayor of Waco since 2016. A third-generation Baylor graduate, Deaver has led Waco through a period of tremendous growth. Besides his work as mayor, Deaver also has served on the boards of the Waco Foundation, Cameron Park Zoological Society and Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Sic 'em, Bears!

Ten. Straight. Titles. Yes, Baylor women's basketball has won the Big 12 regular season championship for the 10th straight year, running away with the 2019-20 Big 12 title with three games yet to go in the regular season. Head coach Kim Mulkey's squad clinched a share of the title with a victory at West Virginia, and claimed it outright prior to a Saturday win over Kansas State and a postgame celebration at the Ferrell Center. That makes 10 straight
regular season conference titles for the Lady Bears, who began the streak in 2010-11 -- at the time, just their second title ever -- and just kept on winning. Here's a look at a decade of dominance, by the numbers: * 10 -- Baylor's 10 straight championships are the 10th-longest conference title winning streak of all time, and the longest active streak out there. * 21 -- The Lady Bears have won 21 conference titles overall: 11 in
the regular season, and 10 in the Big 12 Tournament. That could swell to 22 when this year's tournament begins in Kansas City on March 12. * 57 -- If you pay close attention to BaylorProud, you already know the Lady Bears are one of four Baylor teams who hold a
conference-record winning streak in their sport. But the Lady Bears also hold the longest winning streak in Big 12 games, at 57 in a row. That ties the Lady Bears for the sixth-longest conference win streak in NCAA history. * 69-1 -- Seniors Lauren Cox and Juicy Landrum came to Baylor in 2016, and in the 70 conference games they've played in over the last four years, they've walked off the floor winners in every game but one, which came during their freshman
year. * 168-7 -- The Lady Bears' record in Big 12 games since the start of the 2010-11 season. Truly, a decade of dominance. The Lady Bears conclude the regular season with a senior night game this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Texas and a road contest at Iowa State before heading to the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City. The NCAA Tournament, and a defense of their 2019 national championship, begins March 21-23. Sic 'em, Lady Bears!

Baylor was chartered by the Republic of Texas on Feb. 1, 1845 -- which means that this past month marked Baylor's 175th birthday! That's a lot of years of mixing academic excellence with Christian commitment -- certainly enough years
to merit a month-long celebration. Here are some of the ways Baylor celebrated its 175th on campus:
----------------------------------------
We turned our men's basketball game on Feb. 1 into a birthday party, complete with party hats, a giant cake, Silos Baking Co. cupcakes, and most importantly, a win over TCU.

----------------------------------------
We hosted a next-level Dr Pepper Hour.

----------------------------------------
We celebrated our history of academics, traditions, campus growth and athletics.

----------------------------------------
We talked to alumni about their Baylor memories and stories.

----------------------------------------
Heck, we even created an entire museum exhibit to celebrate.

----------------------------------------
Needless to say, it was a pretty great month. Thanks for everyone in the Baylor Family who celebrated along with us. Here's to another 175! Sic 'em, Bears!
